Browsing Toy Patterns on Ravelry

My eyes are way bigger than my stomach, so the saying goes about food. Well, my eyes are way bigger than the time I have in a day, I say about all the cool knitting projects I’d love to tackle. Especially right now, in this season when I have two little babies keeping me more than busy. Nonetheless, I’m saving a bunch of gorgeous, fun, clever, and cute toy patterns to my Ravelry favorites, hoping that someday, a few years from now maybe, I’ll have time to knit them.

knit toy ideas

From top to bottom:

Tawny Owl by Ella Austin / Bombella Designs I love the idea of incorporating fair isle into a knit animal, and am dying to try it.

Braided Ball by Marleen Hartog My toddler is ball-obsessed right now, so I am too. I love my simple ball, but I’d love to make a ball this fun and complex looking too.

Beet by Norah Gaughan A totally gorgeous and realistic looking beet. Hows that for a strange but wonderful thing to knit. What would you use it for? I have no idea, but that’s it’s charm.

Manolito the Parakeet by Loly Fuertes/Handmade Awards I’ve eyed her designs for years, and I would love to make this super detailed little bird some day.

Boy Elephant by Julie Williams / Little Cotton Rabbits I’m a mom of boys and generally of the opinion that there should be more boy-dolls around. I can imagine my toddler carrying this boy elephant around the house trumpeting elephant noises.

Scooped by Marcie Nishioka / i like lemons It’s pretty much the definition of a perfect summer time knit.

Now tell me, What toy patterns are you drooling over? Are you making anything at the moment?
